Wow, seems that things are changing everyday. New forum and all that. So why do I get the feeling that at some point before then end of the day I'm going to have to break a boot off in my daughters a$$. That kid is more like me than she cares to admit. She does what she does and no one can stop her. Admitedly she doesn't hurt anyone, shes just headstrong and can't be diverted from whats infront of her.
Oh well, guess my folks lived long enough to see me have kids act the same way I did with them. Now its just a matter of them not finding out...not sure if I could handle my dad laughing is ass off at me.

Well now it seems that the company I work for ( I won't mention Haliburton by name) operates on an emtional level. Recently I returned to full work status after an accident and now my team leader...after a rather lengthy go round with his wife informed me and a couple others that if we don't accept a temporary job posting in the bung hole of the western world that he was going to replace us. Dunno what the others told him but I suspect he's going to spend the balance of the night trying to figure out what "pound sand out of your a**" means.:D

Well, yes and no. They can suspend me for what they call verbal insubordination. What I keep forgetting is that Haliburton is an American company and basically writes its own rules as do a couple other companies from the US that work here. A Canadian company would never get away with something like that because it would be brought up infront of a Labour Board and slapped with a fine.

Seems simple to me, he needs folk to go do a job, if folk do not want that job, then he has to get some one else to do it.

Calgary could never understand that simple principle in the Forum .
There is a pecking order in all systems and sub systems . If you don't like your treatment , either shut up and keep your head down , or , move on . But never Move On just in anger . Always have Plans B and C in reserve . With the Northern Hemisphere economy ( less Norway and Switzerland ) in tatters , your best bet for the next 25 years is to learn Norwegian and get over with their companies now . |
