what makes people cheat?

they say it is in human nature, that people, men especially are used from old times to spread their genes. it is all a natural selection thing, and it is all about surviving.

ok, agree, it is in our genes, there is the instinct, the mistery of the other body, of the other heart. it is the boredom of the same life, over and over gain.

but what makes people cheat?

it seems there are different aspects of this and is determined by gender.

woman cheat when the man don't give her tenderness.....when she doesn't feel understood she starts looking for all these somewhere else

the man is followed by his instinct...he sees, her, he wants her, he takes her (other woman than his wife or girlfriend) veni, vidi, vici.

the things are changing when love appears in the "other" relationship (a thing a woman could never forget: his man in love with other woman than her)

Haven't you half answered the question yourself ?
It is in the genes and particularly in the male .
Regarding the other half , ---- in day to day life , individual decisions are probabilistic in nature .
You cheat if you think you can beat the system --- with most people this process is unconscious . Again , males are pushed biologically in this area because the hunting and gathering instinct is propelled by a risk gene and "risk taking" hormones .
Lastly , you have the "socialising " factor -- how far a person has been conditioned to think in a certain way and the degree to which they are prepared to consider the welfare of others and the consequences of their actions . imho

I don't think it has anything to do with genes, its more of a lack of resposibility and committment and will power

Why not say the thing simply like they are: I cheat when i want something i cannot obtain non cheating. It's not unconscious, biological? Perhaps there are some chemical reactions in my brain when i cheat like when i count.

Simply unhappiness or dissatisfaction with the person they were with. The is not genetic precursor for this. That's why it is really important to find someone you're really going to be wild about and whom is also wild about you too.:yo:

i think it has more to do with happiness and joy a person can't feel when has fights with the "half" all day long.

i've been in love and there have been no other man for me on the planet. i could see only him for more than 3 years. that's why i think when we love someone we can't cheat this person. is impossible cause we can't even see someone else.

people cheat when they are bored, when they are not loved anymore, for revenge, for many reasons.
but cheating is cheating and i think is much better to be honest with yourself and your feelings and to let your partner free. when you started to look for someone else, then love is dead, and both of you would be happier without making each other's life a night mare
