I'm going through a strange period, cause i'm not in the mood of doing anything. I feel like i wanna stay home, not going out, not opening forum, turning my phone off....
and i'm not depresed at all.
do you have these kind of feelings? what are you doing then?

Alex, that sure sounds like depression to me. I mean, you may not feel particularly unhappy or "blue," but the lack of interest to do anything really does sound like depression.
When I feel this way, I eventually force myself to call a friend or just go outside for a while, even if it's just for a walk. Exercise and social interaction are the best ways to get over it.

My mood is great! I was released from the hospital yesterday after being there for a week with pneumonia. Now I'm home resting, and listening to music. I wont go back to work until Wednesday or Thursday, so I am not sure what I will do. I know I can't go out too much, as I am still recovering, but my mood and spirit is high. Medication helps:)

well i don't think there is a danger to happen this. to become a hard form. i am strong enough to not let these things to overwhelm me, and i also think we all have our "down" moments.
and i think i'm feeling this way cause i've been ill last week.......the illness, the winter which is coming, the autumn, all give me a melancolic feeling.

That is my mood too. It must be in the air. Although the air in Romania is far across the ocean. I have friends that have called me over a week ago and I still haven't called them back, b/c I don't feel like it. But I still manage to spend time on the forum :becky:

i think the best "treatement" for this mood. is a good hot coffee (even i like to drink it a bit colder), a good positive movie, or book which usually help to recharge the batteries.

I know this feeling very, VERY well. Seeing "happy couples" together, especially walking along the river, makes me happy for them but a little sad for myself.
Things have not been working out quite as well as I had hoped in recent months, and seeing others together is a reminder of that. Especially when I get home to an empty apartment. The other thing (which happens more here in September than any other month) has been seeing so many wedding parties in their decorated cars each day.
But... we all just have to keep ourselves together through these times and keep hope until that hope is finally answered. And it WILL be! :)
Coffee is good too. ;)

Yep, I usually go bike riding with my son. Nothing better than to breathe the air and get the heart pumping. We have some great bike tracks around where we live. On a good day you can sometimes find a Koala asleep in a tree and there are always Kangaroos watching as you ride past. This time of year (nesting season) you must be aware of the MagPies (birds like a crow) that will dive bomb you. It is funny to see the many different things riders attach to their helmets to avoid being dive bombed. There is also an apple and pear orchid along the track and this week all the blossoms are open. The parakeets are a problem though when the fruit starts to ripen. There are also many trees where cockatoos build their nests. You can hear them from a mile off. With the weather warming you must also keep an eye out for the sticks that move (snakes). Last week we had to stop to allow a pair of ducks and maybe 8 or so ducklings to cross the track.
If I am feeling melancholy, it is time to ride.

Just be careful riding your bike under the trees. We wouldn't want to lose you to one of those nasty drop bears!!

Take care, don't be too positive, making sport can hurt you even.

I remember a woman being asked "Do you do any exercise, go to the gym?". Her response was -
"If god had intended me to bend over and touch my toes twenty five times, he would have put diamonds on the floor."
Great answer. :yo:

Stephen Fry --- Renaissance style hero of mine --- and himself a sufferer of Bi Polar Disorder , said that exercise is perhaps the most useful way of relieving depression .

There is absolutely NOTHING wrong with a woman who moans. It's just a matter of the circumstance in which the moaning occurs. ;)
