I watched a TV program last night called "life after people" and can you guess what it was about :P
In this show they had a timeline showing how things would be after man(or woman for those PC fookers) had left the planet.
It was an excellent program and at 20 years they had an example of what life will be like, the Chernobyl exclussion zone especially the city of Pripyat which had a population of 50,000 people. What was amazing about this was that at the time of the explosion all life was killed within a certain area, trees, grass and all animals. Now this area has 10-15 x's the population of wildlife than in other parts of Ukraine especially the red deer. The trees and flowers are all back so like they said in Jurassic park, life will prevail.

I saw that back in April or May when I was in Colorado. It was interesting to see how they predicted that animals would fare after the people were gone. All the little "yappy dogs" were gone in the first few weeks... killed by their bigger cousins.

I cannot watch 88 minutes video from here... But I like such time of things. There are sci fi (anti-utopy) stories about this too. Always interesting to read.

I also saw this program. It was very interesting. Especially how everything would basically be covered all over again with plant life.
