This evening, "La Roja" beats Russia 5-2 in Futsal World Cup celebrated in Brazil.

Maybe next time guys. :becky:

In fact, looking the other national teams, only Brazil could be a real opponent.

You need to know your Football and not slavishly follow FIFA rankings .
Italy at number 2 is politeness as they were World Champions two years ago -- hardly a vintage tournament .
Since then , they have fallen like lead and are outside the Top 10 . Look at form .
France is in even worse trouble -- possibly outside the Top 20 .
England wre deemed to be in a fallow period . However , their European qualifying group -- as I told you -- was purgatory . Croatia are now rated 6th though they would be higher if they had got the result they should have against Turkey .
And Russia are rated 9th , though when Arshavin plays well , they are higher rated .
As England hinted , and now have shown , they are easily superior to these two sides --- so warrant a Top 6 position
If you want a good outsider to follow --- I gave you Croatia at least two years ago --- try Egypt .
PS FIFA is French for the International Federal Association of Football

England - Kazajkstan 5-1 England wins in the last moment in a bad match against Borat's boys

Italy and La France, tied matches. Germany and Russia very bad too.

I think this ranking is near reality. We saw in last EURO2008 that some teams need changes, deep changes. And not only La France.

I think the rankngs are nonsense .
Spain and Brazil are in top three but watch South American results closely because they are edging ahead of Europe again .
If Argentina ever get a top manager and can hold down the defence , they could easily be the best present world team .

As for tonight .
Scotland will not qualify -- never thought they would .
Romania 2 France 2 Romania could be top flight with a top manager
Sweden 0 Portugal 0 -- forget Portugal without Scolari
Bulgaria 0 Italy 0 -- Italy are very poor now .
Faroe Isles 1 Austria 1 -- Austria will never live that down . Well done FI .

p.s. Gabber, why is there smilies for Dinamo and that god-forsaken Spartak, but no smilies for CSKA and Zenit??

I thought the love of your Football life was Arsenal .
Not a word about last night .
It was a remarkable result because there are few minnows left in the Champions League .
Have Arsenal moved up a step versus the other three English teams ?
I doubt it.
They lack super strength and consistency at the back and that will find them out from February onwards .
They remain outstanding in midfield and going forward . A match for any other side . imo .

Wow, you must either have a huge safe with dossiers for all LL/GG membes, or a really good memory. Impressive.

I have to admit that since my favourite players - Henry, Bergkamp, Ljungberg, Lehmann left I was watching Arsenal games with a considerably lessened interest. Still supporting them of course, but just out of habbit really.

I use my brain/memory , which is why I am so hopeless with Boris the Bastard
Bergkamp was very special but the others were not in the league of the current crop, -- good though they were . And I include Henry, who has a major character weakness -- as Gallas now has and Hleb had ( smart move to let him go ) imo
This team , when "on song" , are impressive in comparison to any team I have ever seen . Their average age last night was 22 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Fabregas is a genius and there are others who are not too far away from this rating .
Watch them whenever possible . Wenger is a very special Manager and it is virtually impossible for the Club to be financially embarrassed . Chelsea and Liverpool could have big problems in certain scenarios --- now possible , though hopefully avoidable .
