Shops at Borispol

I'm staying at a hotel 10 minutes walk from Borispol airport in transit.
Does anyone know if there are any stores within walking distance of this area where I can buy mobile phones and digital cameras.
I don't want to travel into Kiev city if I don't have to.

Jim, are you staying at Borispol Hotel? i stayed there 3 weeks ago, there is not much near there, the girl on reception got me an English speaking taxi driver to take me to the shops, no idea if they have Scottish speaking drivers there, but you can ask! :biggrin:

Yes, I'm staying at the Borispol hotel for one night and catch an early morning flight to Simferopol.
Going eventually to Evpatoria.

Funny... I didn't even realize that there is hotel there. I always just stayed in town and then went out to the airport for my flight. I'll be interested to know how this hotel is... quality, price, etc. I'll be flying to the U.S. at the end of June, and I might consider using this hotel the night before my flight.

I'm paying £40 for my room.
I'll let you know how it is when I return.
The airport is only a short walk from the hotel but they do offer a free shuttle service although I think it only operates something like between 09.00 and 16.30.

Breakfast is included in price and if you are leaving the hotel before breakfast is served they will make up a wee basket of food for you to take with you.

it's a nice hotel, i have stayed there a few times, the resteraunt is very good, rooms are very nice & clean with good showers.
most places i have stayed in Ukraine have lousy showers, no water pressure & not very hot,
i can recommend this hotel.

Have a good trip mate & be careful, watch your back, it's getting a bit silly over there depending where you are, a lot id kidnappings & muggings of tourists going on.
