Flock of dead birds found in TN; pole shift is happening

In addition to dead bird kills discovered in central Sweden and northern Italy (and in addition to Arkansas, Kentucky and Louisiana), today some were found in Tennessee.

Flock of dead birds found in TN
"Now, more that 100 dead birds were recently found in Wilson County, causing the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency to investigate. A resident notified the agency Tuesday afternoon after he spotted dozens of dead birds along Highway 70 north in Lebanon a few days ago.“It’s kind of a strange, odd thing. It plays into some of the things that have been happening in other places,” said Lt. Jim Hooper of the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency. TWRA officials found 120 dead blackbirds in the Spring Creek area when they investigated the situation on Wednesday.“We searched the adjoining fields and everywhere else, and there are no other birds except in this one very localized area,” said Hooper. “The birds have definitely been dead 5 or 6 days. "Over the past week, several hundred different black birds have turned up dead in at least four other states. But the question of exactly how these birds turned up dead in Lebanon could remain a mystery."

It is well established now that something weird is happening. Not only birds are turning up dead, but fish, too. New Zealand had a fish kill this week, dead fish "as far as the eye could see" washed up. Also in Chesapeake MD, Volusia County FL, and Sarnia Ontario. So the question is, are there scientific or biblical explanations for these? First the scientific.

On Dec 24, 2010, Scientific American asked "Why is the north magnetic pole racing toward Siberia?"
"The North Magnetic Pole (NMP) drifts from year to year as geophysical processes within Earth change. For more than 150 years after Ross's measurement its movement was gradual, generally less than 15 kilometers per year. But then, in the 1990s, it picked up speed in a big way, bolting north–northwest into the Arctic Ocean at more than 55 kilometers per year. If it keeps going it could pass the geographic north pole in a decade or so and carry on toward Siberia. But why?"

The article continues with scientific explanation as to why the MP drifts, but suffice to say, they are not really sure. And that the drift has picked up speed lately is of real perplexity to them. That the NMP is moving has real-world consequences. One is, that the "Shift of Earth's magnetic north pole impacts Tampa airport."

"Scientists say the magnetic north pole is moving toward Russia and the fallout has reached -- of all places -- Tampa International Airport. The airport has closed its primary runway until Jan. 13 to repaint the numeric designators at each end and change taxiway signage to account for the shift in location of the Earth's magnetic north. The Federal Aviation Administration required the runway designation change to account for what a National Geographic News report described as a gradual shift of the Earth's magnetic pole at nearly 40 miles a year toward Russia because of magnetic changes in the core of the planet."

Did you know, "Birds can 'see' the Earth's magnetic field"
"It has been debated for nearly four decades but no one has yet been able to prove it is chemically possible. Now good evidence suggests that birds can actually "see" the lines of the Earth's magnetic field. Klaus Schulten of the University of Illinois, proposed forty years ago that some animals - including migratory birds - must have molecules in their eyes or brains which respond to magnetism. The problem has been that no one has been able to find a chemical sensitive enough to be influenced by Earth's weak geomagnetic field."

Birds use this magnetic field to migrate. From the same article:

"But how could this influence the direction taken by a migrating bird? Birds appear to orientate at dusk, and cryptochromes form their pair of free radicals when "activated" by the blue light typical of dusk."

Birds use the magnetic field to navigate, the field is moving as evidenced by the NMP drift, and now birds are dying, Are the two items related? Seems like they could be.

A biblical response comes from Zephaniah and Hosea. In Hosea 4:3 in advance of a judgment the LORD would soon render, He promised that therefore the land mourns, And everyone who lives in it languishes Along with the beasts of the field and the birds of the sky, And also the fish of the sea disappear." So there is precedent for God taking away what was previously for man's benefit, including the birds and fish. In Zephaniah 1:2 He said, "I will completely remove all things From the face of the earth," declares the LORD. "I will remove man and beast, I will remove the birds of the sky And the fish of the sea,". Again we see His warning that He will remove fish and bird in advance of a judgment.

This is a strange time. It is almost judgment time. Perhaps Solomon said it best in Ecclesiastes 9:12

"Moreover, man does not know his time: like fish caught in a treacherous net and birds trapped in a snare, so the sons of men are ensnared at an evil time when it suddenly falls on them."

Interesting comment No. 1 -

I'm wondering if anyone has considered the 'side effects' of all of our Wifi usage on the birds' tracking system based on frequency. It must have some impact...a large part of the Western World is using wifi and mobile devices all day and night.

Interesting comment No. 2 -

The magnetic poles have always shifted. Sea-floor spreading and the bottom of the Mid-Atlantic ridge prove it. It's basic Geology. And even though it takes thousands of years to fully reverse magnetic polarity, its extremely obvious that it's happened before. (And may even prove that the earth is far older than certain groups like to believe)

Nibiru

2012 myth: A planet called 'Nibiru' will collide with the earth in December 2012.

Fact: The planet Nibiru does not exist. It has never been seen by any astronomers. The claim was first made by an obscure sci-fi author and was latched onto by conspiracy theorists. They claim that the planet is ''invisible'' but this is impossible. It would also be impossible for the government to conceal a new planet as it would be tracked by academics and amateur astronomers worldwide.

Mayan calendar

2010 myth: The world will end at the same time as the Mayan calendar in December 2012.

Fact: There have been thousands of calendars in use over the years. Calendars, whether contemporary or ancient, cannot predict the future of our planet or warn of things to happen on a specific date such as 2012. Digital clocks reset at 23.59 each night to 00.00 but the world continues. Calendars go from December 31 to January 1 each year but the world continues.

Earth's rotation

2012 myth: An alignment of planets in our galaxy, the Milky Way, could revers the Earth's rotational or disrupt the Earth's gravitational field.

Fact: A reversal in the rotation of Earth is impossible. It has never happened and never will. It would be like a basketball that is spinning on somebody's finger suddenly stopping and going the other way.

With regard to the Earth's gravitational field, the magnetic polarity of Earth does take place around every 400,000 years but scientists don't believe it will take place for another few millennia and there is no evidence it would do any harm.

Nostradamus

2012 myth: The end of the world in 2012 coincides with a prediction by sixteenth century seer Nostradamus.

Fact: There's no evidence that Nostradamus has correctly predicted anything. His vague writings are based on imagery and metaphor and can be interpreted in many different ways.

2012 film

2012 myth: The film '2012' is a warning sign or prediction that the world is due to end shortly.

Fact: The film uses a sophisticated PR campaign which incorporates elements of 'viral' marketing. The trailer for the film plays on conspiracy theorists' fears that the truth is being somehow hidden by directing viewers to a 'faux scientific' website. Did the events in Jurassic park, Jumanji, or Men in Black ever happen? Quite simply, Hollywood bossed have used fears, rumours and scaremongering to make money at the box-office.

I agree that it is ridiculous to think that the Earth's rotation could suddenly reverse (Superman movies to the contrary, of course), but what about a shift in the tilt of the Earth's axis? I don't have data at my fingertips at the moment (and don't have time really to check right now), but it seems to me that it has been determined that the planet's axis and its resultant orientation to the Sun has not always been constant.

If we assume that the last time it happened sometime tens of million years ago, then it is quite difficult to recall the real event... But the modern scientists say that the poles are shifting at the speed of about 15 to 40 km per year, with the NP moving to the center of Siberia gradually.
I received a request from my buddy - how shall we spend Dec 21 2012 and who will be invited... So actually I am busy with the coordination and the menu...
Any ideas will be appreciated...

The theory has been postulated, that KT killer comet, when it struck the earth(aprox. 64 MYA), knocked the planet off its axis, the procession, and nutter in the earth axis we see now is the long term left over from this event and the axis stabilises. This is also the time of formation of much of the "ore" intrusions, and mountain formation in the western US,(laramide orogeny).

Even more interesting then the poles moving about is the 3 areas of null deviation, located around the planet.
Question: are the poles moving in relation ship to land mass on planet?
Or the land mass moving in relation ship to magnetic field?

I think the big role comes from the fact that the science is now able to check and measure the things they did not know about just a few years ago... All this new knowledge is sometimes scary... woe from wit...

It is amazing the amount of knowledge that is coming out.
There are several earth science sites I watch, most through the USGS, and the related discipline divisions.
Earth quakes, volcano, plate tectonics, magnetic field studies group, and of course the satellite imagery group.
My intrest of course is Geology, economic,( where are the resources?).
There are many cycles revealed in the rocks, and geologic structures of this planet. Every condition we can imagine, has already happened here at least one time, in the past.
In the last 200 years, the recorded changes in our planet, at all levels, points, shows the tiny cycles of change, the rock shows 100's of million years cycles.

If I learned 1 thing about this planet, universe, its all about change, always in motion, our science is theory based on observation of this change.

What I find intersting about the Mayan calendor frenzy is that the date coincides with the Prophecy of the Popes, attributed to Saint Malachy (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prophecy_of_the_Popes),

In the 12th Century an Irish Bishop made a pilgramige to Rome in the hills above the City he had an epithany and wrote down short descrptive phrases describing all the Popes until the end of time

There is one Pope left to go.

The Order of Benedictine have been waiting for 800 years for the next to the last Pope's arrival to lead them in the Last Battle against Evil
The Present Pope is Benedict XVI

After him will come Peter of Rome

and the City of the Seven Hills (Rome) will be destoyed by Fire

267 111 Glory of the olive. Benedict XVI (2005–present) Joseph Ratzinger See below
In psecutione extrema S.R.E. ſedebit.
He will reign during the ultimate persecution of the Holy Roman Church.[65]

Petrus Romanus, qui paſcet oues in multis tribulationibus: quibus tranſactis ciuitas ſepticollis diruetur, & Iudex tremẽdus iudicabit populum ſuum.[66] Finis.

268 112 Peter the Roman, who will nourish the sheep in many tribulations; when they are finished, the city of seven hills will be destroyed, and the fearsome Judge will judge His people. The End. Unknown

Might I also pioint out that for the last Half Billion Years the Earth has endured a Mass Extinction on the average of every 65 Million years

and the last one was about 65 Million years ago?

Looks to be and interesting couple of years coming up

It seems like a lot of prophecies have been pulled out of the butt, including the Popes. I can add Vanga, Nostradamus and St. Pheophan to this list. When younger I was seriously interested in the predictions left by Vanga and Nostradamus, and I DO REMEMBER that Vanga did not speak about the end of the world at all, and Nostradamus finished his predictions for 3600-something and died like a decent man. Now, thanks to the knowledge from the Internet, their predictions match and all end on Dec 21 2012. So I do not know. I am hypnotized with this date and I am afraid of it. But a lot of common-sense people say that it is nothing but another mass hysteria (too many people on the Planet)... Etc., etc., etc.

Anyway - I am afraid of this date and I agree with Dan - Live each day like it was the last and make plans for a future that may or may not come around, that was if the end does not come I won't be up on a mountain waiting for it feeling like a dummy

So, treasure every moment that you have. And treasure it more because you shared it with someone special, special enough to spend your time ... and remember that time waits for no one ...

So stop waiting until you finish school ... until you go back to school ... until you lose ten pounds ... until you gain ten pounds ... until you have kids ... until your kids leave the house ... until you start work ... until you retire ... until you get married ... until you get divorced ... until Friday night ... until Sunday morning ... until you get a new car or home ... until your car or home is paid off ... until spring, until summer ... until fall ... until winter ... until you are off welfare ... until the first or fifteenth ... until your song comes on ... until you've had a drink ... until you've sobered up ... until you die ... until you are born again to decide that there is no better time than right now to be happy ...

Happiness is a journey ... not a destination!!

Thought for the day:

"Work like you don't need money,
Love like you've never been hurt,
And dance like no one's watching."

Here is a scary End Time analysis

The Three Conjectures (http://belmontclub.blogspot.com/2003/09/three-conjectures-pew-poll-finds-40-of.html)

Wretchard at the Belmont Club argues that U.S. success in the War on Terror is necessary to the survival of Islam. He makes three conjectures:

Terrorism has lowered the nuclear threshold.
Attaining WMDs will destroy Islam.
The War on Terror is the ‘Golden Hour’ — the final chance.

2012: Beginning of the End or Why the World Won't End?

Remember the Y2K scare? It came and went without much of a whimper because of adequate planning and analysis of the situation. Impressive movie special effects aside, Dec. 21, 2012, won't be the end of the world as we know. It will, however, be another winter solstice.

Much like Y2K, 2012 has been analyzed and the science of the end of the Earth thoroughly studied. Contrary to some of the common beliefs out there, the science behind the end of the world quickly unravels when pinned down to the 2012 timeline. Below, NASA Scientists answer several questions that we're frequently asked regarding 2012.

Question (Q): Are there any threats to the Earth in 2012? Many Internet websites say the world will end in December 2012.
Answer (A): Nothing bad will happen to the Earth in 2012. Our planet has been getting along just fine for more than 4 billion years, and credible scientists worldwide know of no threat associated with 2012.

Q: What is the origin of the prediction that the world will end in 2012?
A: The story started with claims that Nibiru, a supposed planet discovered by the Sumerians, is headed toward Earth. This catastrophe was initially predicted for May 2003, but when nothing happened the doomsday date was moved forward to December 2012. Then these two fables were linked to the end of one of the cycles in the ancient Mayan calendar at the winter solstice in 2012 -- hence the predicted doomsday date of December 21, 2012.

Q: Does the Mayan calendar end in December 2012?
A: Just as the calendar you have on your kitchen wall does not cease to exist after December 31, the Mayan calendar does not cease to exist on December 21, 2012. This date is the end of the Mayan long-count period but then -- just as your calendar begins again on January 1 -- another long-count period begins for the Mayan calendar.

Q: Could a phenomena occur where planets align in a way that impacts Earth?
A: There are no planetary alignments in the next few decades, Earth will not cross the galactic plane in 2012, and even if these alignments were to occur, their effects on the Earth would be negligible. Each December the Earth and sun align with the approximate center of the Milky Way Galaxy but that is an annual event of no consequence.

Q: Is there a planet or brown dwarf called Nibiru or Planet X or Eris that is approaching the Earth and threatening our planet with widespread destruction?
A: Nibiru and other stories about wayward planets are an Internet hoax. There is no factual basis for these claims. If Nibiru or Planet X were real and headed for an encounter with the Earth in 2012, astronomers would have been tracking it for at least the past decade, and it would be visible by now to the naked eye. Obviously, it does not exist. Eris is real, but it is a dwarf planet similar to Pluto that will remain in the outer solar system; the closest it can come to Earth is about 4 billion miles.

Q: What is the polar shift theory? Is it true that the earth’s crust does a 180-degree rotation around the core in a matter of days if not hours?
A: A reversal in the rotation of Earth is impossible. There are slow movements of the continents (for example Antarctica was near the equator hundreds of millions of years ago), but that is irrelevant to claims of reversal of the rotational poles. However, many of the disaster websites pull a bait-and-shift to fool people. They claim a relationship between the rotation and the magnetic polarity of Earth, which does change irregularly, with a magnetic reversal taking place every 400,000 years on average. As far as we know, such a magnetic reversal doesn’t cause any harm to life on Earth. A magnetic reversal is very unlikely to happen in the next few millennia, anyway.

A: The Earth has always been subject to impacts by comets and asteroids, although big hits are very rare. The last big impact was 65 million years ago, and that led to the extinction of the dinosaurs. Today NASA astronomers are carrying out a survey called the Spaceguard Survey to find any large near-Earth asteroids long before they hit. We have already determined that there are no threatening asteroids as large as the one that killed the dinosaurs. All this work is done openly with the discoveries posted every day on the NASA NEO Program Office website, so you can see for yourself that nothing is predicted to hit in 2012.

Q: How do NASA scientists feel about claims of pending doomsday?
A: For any claims of disaster or dramatic changes in 2012, where is the science? Where is the evidence? There is none, and for all the fictional assertions, whether they are made in books, movies, documentaries or over the Internet, we cannot change that simple fact. There is no credible evidence for any of the assertions made in support of unusual events taking place in December 2012.

Q: Is there a danger from giant solar storms predicted for 2012?
A: Solar activity has a regular cycle, with peaks approximately every 11 years. Near these activity peaks, solar flares can cause some interruption of satellite communications, although engineers are learning how to build electronics that are protected against most solar storms. But there is no special risk associated with 2012. The next solar maximum will occur in the 2012-2014 time frame and is predicted to be an average solar cycle, no different than previous cycles throughout history.
