Parenting

Parenting is a hard job that can one hand be very rewarding, and on the other hand drive you nuts from time to time. Still there are so many funny situations related to kids and parenting. This is the reason I've decided to open this thread in the Humour section and not in the Parenting one.
I sugest we publish here different funny bits about your own kids or bits created by other people.

I'll start with posting several utube vids with one of my favourite comedians Bill Cosby, talking about his parents and kids. I find them so hillarious I nearly cry with laughter every time I watch them.

I spent the better part of the day fighting with the Сheeky Little Monkey (hereinafter - CLM). She was refusing to eat her veggies&meat dinner and was demanding candies instead.

I put the plate in front of her and told her that she could forget about the candies for the rest of her monkeyish life unless she eats at least half of the plate's contents. To make it more interesting for her, I've added some dried dill on top of the plate. Then I left the kitchen in order to stop any further arguments.

When I came back 3 mins later CLM had her plate covered with 2 cm thick layer of dried dill (used her chair to get hold of the dill can) and was enthusiastically eating it. When she reached the border between the dill and the actual food she refused to eat any further.

So now I feel I've been fooled - technically CLM did eat half of the plate (mostly spices), but I'm not sure this is what I had in mind when voicing my conditions to her. :becky:

I'm at a loss whether to give her the promissed candy now, or to send her to the corner :confused::becky:
