Have you ever had a strong attraction to someone at your job? Have you ever actually gotten "involved" with a coworker? Did it create a scandal? Did you actually marry this person?
Or maybe you consider "fishing in the company pool" to be strictly off limits.
Take the poll, and tell your stories. :becky:

I did have a romantic relationship with a secretary at my first job. We did'nt create a scandal though. We kept it pretty low key. We would meet up after work, usually at my apartment, then go out, or we would meet up on the weekend. It was kind of difficult at work though, because there were times she would walk past me, and she would smell so damn good! I wanted to just grab her, but I could'nt.

Yes, but it only lasted about 15 years. We knew each other for 5 years before he hired me...so in total it was 20 years.

Well, having started this, it's only fair to divulge. It's happened to me three times. Once in the Navy, once when I was working for a company of about 225 people in Massachusetts, and once at a small project management company in Denver. Each of those sort of fell into the "passionate fling" category, and none lasted very long.
Yes, I know... I was a bad, bad, bad boy. ;)

Yes, Bobby... good advice.
As Master Yoda would say: "Talk you must not - Do, you must... as in the secretary you must do, the assistant manager you must do, the receptionist you must do, the marketing coordinator you must do."
Yoda was very wise about women in the office.

I did talk and I did act - that's what caused me years of therapy. (kidding of course about the therapy, that's why I'm here talking to you people...can't afford therapy.)
What's that ol' expression? "Don't sh-t where you eat."

it is funny, but in my kindergarden years, in my school and univeristy years, i've always liked someone from my class, but never had a relationship with anyone. never
then, when i started to work, it happened like this too. it is funny, but i've never had a relationship with anyone i had to see every single day in my classroom, or in the office. i don;t know why but i really thing there is a good thing. to be with someone at home and in the office, day by day, it can be really boring

Ivanka, in North America, women are not allowed to wear short skirts and high heels to work Most of them now wear baggy pants. So, not much too look at. But this is good, because in North America, just looking can get you charged with sexual harassment.

Sorry this offends you, but in American English, it is NOT a hyphenated word (Merriam-Webster). In fact, most words in which the Bitish separate a prefix from the root word with a hyphen are NOT hyphenated in proper American English. You have your style, we have ours. Both are equally correct as the language has evolved differently in each place. I will respect yours and will you can respect ours. I will continue to write according to standard American English and do not wish to entertain any smarmy, condescending comments about language from British. Deal with it.

A silly Post by your standards .
I make a surprising but totally non offensive suggestion . Immediately , its humourous nature is made clear by the second sentence .
Have you lost your sense of humour ? .
As for dealing with it , I have . By telling you that you made yourself , in this instance , look a bit of a plonker .

According to Cow Workers' World, a trade publication of the International Brotherhood and Sisterhood of Dairy Workers, the most common places for workers to have affairs with cows are in Wisconsin, Vermont, Ohio, western Switzerland, Kazakhstan, the south island of New Zealand, the Falklands, Brighton and, of course, Belgium. Photos are available on their Web site: www.udderlydelightful.com. As for milk and cream, I am lactose-intolerant... just beer for me, thanks.

Google asked me if I meant co workers !! See Hyena !!
But it did produce a release from the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health and a paper on Preventing Deaths of Farm Workers in Manure Pits .
In one incident a Dairy Farmer died , and two sons and a grandson and a nephew within 20 minutes and all in the same pit . The Belsen of Dairy Farms
