IzaĆas Almada is a writer and columnist for the NR

The arrogance and the false air of superiority with which the U.S. government behaves in the contemporary world, besides tiring, are becoming a danger to the survival of humanity. To my knowledge, except for the few countries whose governments maintain a totally submissive stance to the interests of Americans (and I refer to the heads of Colombia, Costa Rica, Saudi Arabia and South Korea as the most significant examples), none of us mortals gave procuration to Washington to think and act on our behalf.

This "fight against terrorism," to "defend democracy" and the "war on drugs" already does not convince anyone. Who wants to cheat Uncle Sam? Fight against terrorism? But who armed the Taliban? Who created Osama Bin Laden? Who tortures innocents in Guantanamo Bay? Who supported the majority of the military coups in Latin America in the '50s, '60s and '70s and the recent coup in Honduras? Who supported Operation Condor and practiced terrorist attacks in the Southern Cone? Who financed terrorists like Posada Carriles, who lives in exile in the U.S.?

"Democracy"? But what kind of democracy are we talking about, pale face? That monster who pays salaries to executives for fraudulent statements and balance sheets to fool American society itself? That democracy whose banks launder drug money? That democracy that sends ten thousand soldiers for "humanitarian aid" to Haiti? That democracy that kills innocent civilians in Iraq and Afghanistan? That democracy that supports the ignominy of Israel against the Palestinians?

"Do they fight drug trafficking? But what is, according to the UN itself, the country that consumes the most of the world's hard drugs such as opium and cocaine? Whose profits are already 400 billion dollars annually, dirty money, but legally laundered in some of the major banks of Uncle Sam? Does dirty money, which is already suspect, finance CIA operations "around the world"?

This particular item, the "fight against drug trafficking" brings up a few questions that they want to silence: what does the largest consumer of drugs in the world need? Drugs, of course, answers the counselor, Acacio. Where is the most opium produced? AFGHANISTAN. Which produces the most cocaine? COLOMBIA. Very good.

Let's investigate a little more. How do you get the opium to the United States of America in great quantity and security, if there is a war and invasion of Afghanistan and the country is under the control of the U.S. Armed Forces? How does cocaine leave Colombia in quantity and safety, if much of the territory is guarded by the Colombian army and seven U.S. military bases with the most sophisticated weaponry and surveillance systems in the world?

Contain these stories for others ... Up to when will the world be forced to coexist with this hypocrisy, with so many lies and so much trickery as if we were all idiots who do not know what we want? Or are we?

The drama is real for all, while poor American society is becoming increasingly ill, partly alienated by drugs, partly by brainwashing its citizens who suffer the media, and partly also by having to support almost full-time their young leaving for one war after another.

In the first half of 2010, 145 American soldiers committed suicide in Iraq and Afghanistan. And there were 1,713 who attempted suicide.

Who will save the world from the United States of America?

I was born in 1956, shortly after radio was replaced with black & White tube TV :) Yep I'm approaching death with one foot in the the grave and the other kicking the coffin lid open. There is value in that however because I remember how things were. Then if you were smoking pot and got caught; you'd probably be sentenced to 5 to 10 years in prison or place in a mental institution. Now it's a misdeameanor offense.
The problem with America is not the drugs but the mind. Franklin wrote something called "common sense" in the 1700's It's value is worthless for modern society but I should write a new one; then I can die with dignity by assassination. :becky: Someone needs to do it however and I'm not afraid to.
In the U.S. as technology has improved cognitive ability has declined in regard to foresight, moral ethics, and problem solving. One of the worst things that has ever happened to our country is the internet. Your countries also. It is a wonderful tool for global communication created by criminal masterminds and efficiently used by criminals. The rest of us that are not system engineers are either forced to become one for the sake of survival or be destroyed by criminal technology and the abusers thereof.
As I have grow up the stupidity of American society and government has increased 100 fold. Today everyone is on Facebook or some other similar portal, including the President, the North Koreans, the Al Quida, Gangs, every organization you can possibly imagine. During the latter part of the 20th century an actor in one of the first Star Wars movies made a brilliant statement that truely defines the internet and current Global culture. " Never will you find a more retchid place of scum and villiany. " You can now walk; no you'd better drive it's safer; anywhere in America and witness Halloween. Everyone has their own little costume expressing social defiance and toughness. The one thing that makes them tough is the law ! because if it weren't for that the dead would litter the streets in every city, town and place. America is not a group of fellow Americans but a bunch of different groups passively at war with the other. If you're not part of a group you'd better have a gun; and I carry one everywhere I go. There are two major parties in America; Republican and Democrat. The focus of both is not something beneficial to America but merely which party can demonstrate the greater dominance over the other and where intelligence is expressed by assassinating the characters of the other parties scapegoat candidate. When either party gets together in the name of a function, it always resembles Halloween and New Years, where the outcome leads to loss of money for Americans and only false promises that never develop, leading to National Security mistakes for the past 20 years. I hear a lot of critics in the distance spouting off like Goofy from the Warner Brothers Cartoon "Well ! I think living in another country would be much worse, boy." Is that right ! Maybe you should live with me for a while.
We've made stupid mistakes over the past 20 years it's time to shuck the costume, leave the social glitter of Facebook and begin rebuilding America with common sense.

As a note, the US is not trying to make the world safe from terrorism, only ourselves.
We fight it in other countries because it is the terrorists home base.
I know from personal experience as US military we are not allowed to even bring souvenirs we payed for out of the country(Iraq, Afghanistan).
However there are criminals even in our military, and yes the elements of "organized crime have infiltrated every aspect of society, including the military.
And CYA is the watch word,(cover your a*s), if you want a mil. spec. career.
Crime and corruption, seems to be rampant in every country I have been in, which is most of the world.

There's a lot to repair, Hey we can do it, and get it done right. It's a funny place if you think about; African americans are complaining about the white man and the white man is driving around with big rims that spin and listening to TuPac and Chilli B and talking about "Yo dog, what's Up!. Now if that's not cultural integration I don't know what is. How ironic is this. LOL It's a good thing however because all cultures should integrate for a few common goals; Life, Liberty , and the persuit of happiness, to name a few.

In the military there are a lot of loop holes to conventional law and too many accronyms:
Uniform Code of Military Justice System: That's a contract agreement with the military as a condition of membership: Basically it is the Federal slave act, promising one meal a day, 2 hours sleep per day after Bud's training or other associated indoctrinations of varying branches, 1/4 the wage that civilians make, the promise a fair trial, representation by a Military appointed JAG officer in your behalf, and sound assurity that if you don't show at the duty station as scheduled or refuse to act on command in the face of lifethreating situations that you'll be awarded a dishonorable discharge at Captains mast, barring you from any civilian job in life and a possible stay at the Federal hotel in Levenworth. Also there is a clause in the UCMJ about injuring or killing yourself on purpose and you are told that your person is official government property until you have successfully fulfilled your membership requirements with Yacht Club. :) The military has internal security that insures you don't violate your personal eithics during membership. They are the CID. It's an accronym that stands for "Can I Deceive." :becky:

Here you go sound reasons why we need to make some changes.

If I were President I would push for federal legislation requiring that the amount of money spent helping other countries had to be matched and evenly distributed to every citizen making less than 50,000.00 per year.

:deadhorse:
That is not going to happen. Same with the USA stopping its renegade actions on attacking other nations.

There is a bigger player. This player has a motto: Own nothing, control everything.

ahh but when you try to make the world safer for Americans there is a call to arms shout out to other countries to join the fight. Also, any military action has a profound affect gobally.

Let us not forget that a good percentage of the present economic woes around the world can be traced back to greedy money handlers in the good ol' USA.

Nonetheless, Russian journalists should look in their own backyard before criticizing their rivals.

I blame Cuba, them and the North Koreans, they are to blame so I think the U.S should invade Engerland next as a warning to those 2 countries.

One man's freedom fighter is another man's terrorist.

The USA has terrorists because they keep pissing people off. Then as soon as the hornets nest is kicked. Those who caused the trouble scurry back into their bomb shelters and get the bloody taxpayer to kill themselves in the blind hope in sorting this mess out with a big club.

Its not the tax paying public who start wars.
