One of the stories is about the 2+2 channel has banned the Simpsons, Family Guy and South Park.

this reminds me of a Joke about the old Soviet Union and it was . In Soviet union we only have to 2 channels, Channel 1 is Soviet Propaganda channel and channel 2 is KGB Agent telling you ''You turn back to Channel 1'':lol:

The YRWM will dismiss this as propaganda but gradually such web sites receive wider attention and readership .Unfortunately the vast bulk of Russians have forgotten how to think and this is repeatedly shown when experts try to decide on a nation's innovative abilities _ Russia is stuck very close to the bottom .
This issue highlights the instability in Ingushetia and Chechnya which I have been separately highlighting for several weeks from my file sources .
The most pernicious item is the idea to create a Youth TV channel . Already there are Youth movements in the big cities , reminiscent of pre war Nazi Germany and these are the same ones that harrassed and intimidated Embassy Staffs in Moscow and were bussed to Estonia from St Petersburg last year to provoke riots in Taillin .
This TV proposal will undoubtedly continue the brain washing programme .

I did not know the Simpsons were forbidden... Sorry everybody, but from my viewpoint it is one of the worst - I shudder and shiver when I watch it occasionally. I can understand your conserns - you grew up with it, but I do not want Russian kids see it. The channel is fighting in the court and it seems they will win the case, but really-really-really - I do not understand people who buy such licenses for Russian kids, may be they do not have kids at all. Sorry again, if I hurt you.

Don't be so apolegetic . The Forum is here for good , clean "fights" .
What is there in the Simpsons that you believe is harmful /wrong etc ?
Kids in your country and mine , in some areas , are smoking , drinking and playing around with sex from 8 years of age .
Is the political irony and sophistication of the Simpsons beyond the understanding of most Russians at this point in time ? A fair point , if that is what you think .
