Here is part of a letter from Cousin Rodney , who is a Gay tree feller in Nova Scotia .
Seems Canada is nearly down and OUT
As you know by now the US beat Canada and that is just unacceptable .
The Canadian team is full of superstars and the US squad is full of journeymen.
At least 70% of the US team probably couldn't make the Canadian team. This just can't happen but it did.
Two days earlier the Swiss took the Canadian Wimps to a shoot-out and now this.
The mood of the crowd in Molson Canadian Hockey House after the final whistle was angry and a little shocked. The final score was deflating and put a huge damper on the evening.
It wasn't the gold medal game but it was the nearest thing to it.
The US have beaten Canada at the junior worlds last month and now this. What's next?
A loss to them in the ladies gold medal game next week?
I was not able to get a ticket to the actual game, however, I did manage to buy the cheapest package to the Hockey House located right across the street from the hockey venue.
I bought the Fan Zone pass for $99.00. With that I got to watch the game on giant Hi-Def screens, complimentary food and entertainment.
The portion sizes were small and there was really no entertainment and the beers cost $10.00 after tips.
I guess I should have not wimped out and bought the VIP pass for $725.00. What was I thinking.
I wonder if the VIP pass came with lap dancing. Corporate America ripping off the common man is alive and well even here in Canada.
dian spirit is alive and totally in your face.
