What to do people ? Where to hide , Mum ?
China , Germany and Russia refuse to discuss tougher sanctions against Iran , notwithstanding the International Atomic Energy Agency's report from Vienna that its inspection of suspect activities and covert projects are stalled by Tehran's non co-operation
Are these three countries the new axis of Evil or are they just insatiably greedy and don't want to lose money by reducing business with Tehran ?
But the cat has been thrown into the Pigeon's cage yesterday by Israel's military Intelligence Research Director . His information is that Tehran already has between one third and one half of the quantity of enriched uranium needed for a nuclear bomb .
And former Israeli Army Chief , General Moshe Yaalon said on radio that an Israeli -Iranian war is inevitable .
Is this just Israel ratcheting the talk up a notch or two ?
Why are these three countries effectively voting against civilisation ?
Why isn't the EU slapping Germany into line ?
Are we really worried or do we somehow believe that it will all sort itself in time ?
Souce DEBKA ,today .

Apparently President Bush is mobilizing the 1st Bn Chickenhawk Rangers (Chairborne) to sort the Eye ranians out so there's no need to worry.
Gordon Brown is going to recruit some extra PCSOs.

oh ramon ramon, it's a combination of the above, they want to make a bunch of money and then they WANT the US to take care of the problem
BUT
They also want to be able to denounce the US as bloodthirsty warmongers for doing the dirty work'
That's a Win/Win scenerio for the EU Elite.

I have more than a modicum of sympathy with that view .
As memers of the non proliferation treaty , I think the stance adopted by China and Russia is immoral .
I am getting paranoid about Merkel .
When I have nothing better to do , I am going to check out her East German History and the possibility that her closeness to Russia is more than coincidence and linked to Deutsche Bank --- a scum bank -- and the greed of having an exclusive energy line from Russia . It would be magic if we could prove she used to take tea with a certain Mr Putin regularly on Thursday afternoons in the late eighties .

My guess is the problem will be solved by Israel. If they are attacked with a nuclear weapon, launched from Iran or carried across the border, the country of Iran will become a self-illuminating glass parking lot. And then all of the other Arab countries will be angry that Israel destroyed the country that attacked it. And then.......

I don't think Iran should be allowed to achieve a nuclear weapon but what would be happening if this was Saudi that took this path, would there be as much as an uproar,of course not. It's not because Iran's a muslim country but rather it's a crackpot muslim country.

Crackpot seems like such a harsh word to use.
if only it wasn't so true......

its not the country, its the leadership.....its the same as all countries....90% of the people dont like the president and think he will be the one to start a nuclear war

The problem is the form of government, where the people that are probably not excited about the thought of nuclear war cannot change the leadership.

The UN International Atomic Energy Agency says 6 months
Well so what dan? Iran can get nukes at some unspecified point in the future - we already have them.
The doctrines of nuclear deterrence still apply just like in the days when Kruschev said to the USA 'We will bury you'
Pakistan and India haven't nuked each other - and the mutual hatred and hysterical sabre rattling between them over the years has been very intense. They even went to war with each other in Kashmir a few years ago without it going nuclear.
