Animal Abuse back in vogue

Mistakenly I offered to look after one of my worker's cats -- a two year old neutered Ginger .
I have have had dozens of Pussies and also cats , but as I have been on my own for the last few years , none recently . Until last Sunday night .
I had visions of watching TV with a lump perched on my shoulder and a partner in bed for Purring Lullabies .
Instead I have got the most boring and unbalanced Cat in the whole world .
He ( It ) spends 90% of the day and night completely hidden under an armchair or wedged between the wall and my setee .When it surfaces it makes strange noises which from a human would get the Police involved on suspected torture .
When approached , it stares at you and hisses very loudly and repeatedly like a deranged snake . It is almost untouchable -- maybe Hindu .
This Cat has not one redeeming feature other than he is 100% successfully toilet trained .
I did not used to believe in abusing animals . Now I am not so sure .
Any tips -- apart from strangling it .

He ventured out for 20 minutes last night and sat in an armchair like King Kong .
When I went to tickle his chin , he clubbed me twice with the equivalent of a forearm smash .
I give him marks for speed and surprise marks for not having his claws out .
He actually did whack me hard and it dawned on me exactly how strong a Big Cat must be . Pro rata , I would have been knocked across the room by Leo the Lion .
