On this date, Septemeber 18th, 1970, one of the most influential rock/blues artists of all time died from a drug overdose.
James Marshall Hendrix. His music still lives on today, and continues to inspire young and old musicians alike. Just one of many rock artists to go way too young in life.
Quote from one of his works: "I'm the one who has to die when it's time for me to die, so let me live my life, the way I want to."
He did live life how he wanted to, and unfortunately, it was just too much.
Feel free to post your favorite tunes from Jimi.

Stevie Ray was better.
I would not argue against either, and I love both of them, but Jimi was the man.
Stevie Ray did do an amazing version of "Little Wing" though.

I quite like Grandad by the Beatles and When I am 64 by the Rolling Bones .
Did you know that James played guitar on the Abbas , Mama Mia ?
Unfortunately I fell asleep while Handrix was on . I thought we had come to watch Pat Boone .

You are hopeless
Coma Tose and Perry Como were different people ,

I just woke from a little nap. After seeing the names Como and Andy Williams, I couldn't help but put my head down and doze off.:o
