I wonder how many of you read Novoya Gazeta ?
I do , and , at minimum , glance at it daily . You can read the English version in the usual way .
Have a look at todays leading story .
Dynamite .
I suspect someone or several people have signed their death warrant
The article is very long and detailed and highly technical but the thrust of the argument and the salient conclusions are clear .
It underlines everything I have told you about since I first came into this Forum and it starkly highlights the side of the State that actively chooses to rob its citizens in the most bare faced way and at a level probably never ever approached anywhere else in the world ever before .
Never forget the reply given to Berezovsky when Putin was offered the position of President .
" Give me Gazprom instead " . He got both .

And if there are those among you who say , " He is Russia bashing yet again " ask yourself whose lost benefit am I highlighting .
I simply report what is fact . For you cannot here argue that these journalists are traitors and criminals . They are just unravelling balance sheets and reports publicly available that represent a labrynth of deceit and deception .
And what you see here is the tip of the iceberg .

The Russian mob are the goverment.Putin has sanctioned murders and they will never give up power because they will be scared that in the future they could be uncovered.Putin is reputed to be worth 55 billion and has been robbing the country blind.Russians should have the best infrastucture in the world with the money that should belong to the goverment.
Keenan look at the videos on this guys page, there are 3 episodes of a TV series Russian godfathers.I think they are split into 6 parts each.that will give you an insight to how corrupt they are.

The thing is as Ramon's post shows just how much everything in Russia is tied to the men at the top.The only people that can change the way their country is ran so it's better for them are the people themselves but when we write such things we are called anti-Russian when this is not the case at all.We have more access to free information or the Russians simply don't want to believe such things.

Zorooo, can I shake your hand?
Really, isn't it enough, gentlemen?
As Gabber said in my closed topic "Long Live Russia" everybody has his own opinion about Russia and America. We won't change anything talking about them again and again. What do you want? Another Social Revolution? We don't have another Lenin. And you aren't Trotskii. Russians won't follow you. Ramon sorry. Zorooo is absolutely right. :fish:

You'd better tell us about the mortgage crisis in Great Bitain.About the role of George Gordon in it. How can it affect you personally? It's none of my business, of course, but Russian issues aren't your business, are they?

Lucker

That is exectly my point , Bella and Zorro , and I will repeat until the day I die .
And the point ?
The Russian people need to be shown how to see again so that they can rebel at some future point .
I refuse point blank to be like those in the 30' s who would not see Germany in its true light and the fifties breed of idiotic European socialists who thought Stalin's Russia was heaven on earth .
To think that one person would shrug their shoulders on reading this story is quite obscene .
People will rightly break down over the harm to a pet or child but when a whole country is being robbed blind , it is just boring .
Shame on you .

I think your very much mistaken in saying that Russian issues are none of our business. When Russia was a closed country and had no connections with the west you may have been right but now western companies have business in Russia and some of these companies affect us directly with what is happening there,BP for example.A lot of people have shares in this company directly or indirectly through pension funds.
Your never one to not post something about America or UK because it's nothing to do with you.In fact you copy and paste a lot of things about the west.
That's what this forum is for, discussion and it was a Russian newspaper story the topic has started with.

It seems that Corruption at this level would Offend any Russian Citizen so much they would be willing to take action and not let it go on. Seeing the way he pushes everyone around and pulls all the strings is very offensive and I'm not even a citizen there:mad:

Bella , I know you well enough to regretfully say to you , that remark is just plain dumb and so out of line with your usual keen mind and appreciation , that I am truly shocked .
You ( singular and plural ) have got to realise that it is our business and it's about time that people started to take responsibility for our planet and not just the small patch they occupy .
We are global in everything now and there is no such thing as independent action and individual consequences .
To balance this world we have to learn to accommodate an incredibe range of cultures and corrupt States and mobster leaders .
At one level I could not care less that the vast majority of people in the old Eastern bloc live in very poor accommodation and at a level of poverty that would bring immediate civil war in West European countries .
But I am obliged to be concerned ( putting on one side normal humanitarian kindness) when these same countries begin to affect the way we live and the options open to us .
At a simple level of concern , the Kontora stealing $60 billion out of Gazprom , robs ordinary Russians who might otherwise be flourishing entrepreneurs doing business at a level that helped both an emerging Russian middle class and small European business people . Forgetting your problems , we would then have more people earning enough to pay high energy bills , pay mortgages and further vitalise small business by creating new projects with new jobs etc etc .
It is transparent market economy and real democracy as distinct from Wholesale Theft and closed minds that we all need
To try and bury your head in the sand is negative , defeatist and anti life .

This is not my area of expertise but I hope you can accept my humble opinion.

Basically I agree with Ramon and I'm sure most people know and understand that corruption is rife in Russia and that the people there suffer needlessly because of it.

But I also understand why some people here get angry or upset by these comments.

Russia is a beautiful and intriguing country rich in history and culture and regardless of it's problems most Russians are proud of their country so of course it's not easy for them to tolerate others highlighting the bad things about it.

A little more understanding and tolerance on both sides would not go amiss.

dear ramon,

you say the people need to been shown..sorry but mastering poeple you get the opposite of what your goal is...One advice dont master a woman to much because if you love her you will be the one passing through turbulences.

And by the way "I am shame"?..I express a feeling that repeating same stuff is borring..you could maybe add some more than factual discussion ..maybe for once an annalize.
I put in an other topic such about georgia..but simply its ignorred and all are continius trowing fact to the heads of others...believe me its eassy to smash a fellow forum poster to he wall more difficult to see more clear and understand others opinions.
