Read at the story of "Uxellodunum", and you will understand why we use to have so often our hands in pockets of jeans or jackets.

In 51 before J.C. after the fall of Alésia, two Gallic leaders, Lucterios (of Quercy) and Drapès (of Sense), unite to continue resistance against the Romans. Pressed by the legions of Boyfriend caesar, they lock themselves with 2 000 combatants in a fortified town in boundaries of Quercy (Uxellodunum) where they resist several months to the attacks of 30 000 legionnaires ordered by Very caesar. The place had as defence of the abrupt rocks that would have found it difficult to climb up armed men, even without any resistance.

The mountain, abrupt from everywhere, on which was the city, was almost entirely encircled by the single river running into the single valley.

Abounding one fountain feeding the place, flew in the foot of walls of the city, meanime 100 metres left free by the circuit of the river.Caesar should make raise an earthwork and a 10-storeyed wooden tower, from the top of which he could, with the aid of war machines, forbid in the besieging the access to the only fountain of the place. Gaulishes tried to burn down the tower by making roll against her barrels filled with ignited pitch and caused losses to the Romans by baiting them continuously.Caesar made dig under the rock a "mine" which allowed to dry up the fountain. Drainage is subjected from this source, which had never ceased running, despaired the besieging. Thinking they are abandoned by the Gods, they went.

Caesar, to inflict an exemplary castigation on the unsubdued, made cut hands to all those who had fought.Summary of the pound VIII of the War of the Gauls, written by Hirtius, fellow traveller of Caesar.

Next time i'll tell you why we are so nervous when we meet a britt!

That....and the sky falling on our heads  :orc::orc::orc:

About the hand cutting. Romans did that a lot here too... to able men anyway along with massive enslavement to be sent to other provinces.

Talking with hands in pocket depends on a lot on the situation and with whom you're talking too.

The French always have their grubby little hands in their pockets .

Probably because its the only small trophy they will get their hands on .

Although my knowledge of Yankee sub culture is poor , your Atavar bares a striking resemblance to characters from that dreadful Simpson disaster show .
Is there absolutely nothing better than a Yankee label for a Frenchman ?
Has your patriotism sunk so low ?

Please don't get too intimate with my hairdresser. The previous one got pregnant and I had to look for a new one. If the same happens again, it would be too much for me to bear! :becky::becky::becky:
