Aftertaste ( written for Kursat)

I came home and had no wish to write anything on Forum today.. Just decided to look the thread “what are you listening to now”.. as daily Pater Noster.. ;)

And I’ve been listen to Kursat’s melody.. All of us listen to various music, different and similar, 25 hours per day.. to listen to music is like to breathe.. :) a lot of music surrounds us and sounds inside us..

But somehow that one ..”Pain”.. made me deeply feeling .. unexpectedly it had provoked “the stream of consciousness”… :cool: ( thank you old good James Joyce!!)
If it even has no name.. it would be possible to feel this kind of pain.. penetrating.. shrilling… strident.. vague.. pricking you with million tiny needles… not too strong to go into pain shock but tangible enough though ..

It is that kind of pain when one doesn’t shout… even doesn’t cry.. walking in the streets or moving from one wall to another.. sitting on the grass.. thinking “about nothing” .. :rolleyes: a kind of pain that everyone tries to hide but wants people to hear his silent mute hopeless shout of immense despair..
In such way .. in such "states" we create.. music, pictures, prose.. anything..

There is one word “alexythymia” that characterizes inability to feel and express any emotions..
When I was young enough I thought people who cannot feel are unlucky and unhappy.. when I became older I started doubting it … from time to time.. ;)

This is very true for me and I go one step father,here is a example. I like to associate music with places I have been. So while I was walking the streets of Ternopil,Ukraine I knew from the feeling in my soul that I would want to keep this day somewhere special. No Photos,No Video, Just special Memories in my mind and heart. And the only way to do that is listen to a certain song that was big in my life at that time. So now anytime I hear ''Adams Song'' by Blink 182 I can go back to a warm summer evening as the sun was setting in Ternopil,Ukraine:becky: And not only have the memories of that day but I can also get that summer feeling in my body even if I am recalling this in the winter months.

See people use to do this with mind-Altering drugs and that was all well and good but it is not every lasting like mine are!:) They have to include all the useless information about how ''high'' they were that day. And it becomes more of a Drug Memory than a real memory:p

You know I am trying to see your Musical taste in what you like or don't like. And I may be wrong but I think when you get away in your mind you like music that does not over take you. It just sits calmly in the background while you are alone in your thoughts. And for this Craig Chaquico is perfect. He use to be the guitar player for JEFFERSON STARSHIP.

I've found a lot of information about him in Wikipedia.

I came in to thank Kursat and Elane-Ellie for the Flight - I downloaded it about a week ago from the first page of this thread, only to find later that it was not a full version, but I am in love with this 52 seconds of music I have, now will try to find the entire piece in the Internet. If I fail I will come back and whistle for help... :)

I'm not sure we are talking about the same song.. :rolleyes: as Kursat posted Jordan Rudess "Tear Before the Rain".. and it was not the entire track, I've founded the full version in Internet then and downloaded.
As for "Flight".. I don't know the singer's name , sadly.. I have no CD to look at as it was several old Egyptian songs sent via e-mail by my friend.. without any name.. and I have them on my PC. The only thing I could do is to send it to you via e-mail if you'd like to :)
