Looks like another war is brewing .
Israel into Syria and anywhere Hizbollah chooses to run ??
Roll up for the show while the Banks burn .

Hizballah's secretary-general Hassan Nasrallah declared Monday, Feb. 16 that his terrorist organization is fully entitled to arm itself with every kind of weapon "including anti-air missiles in its struggle against Israel."

For two years, all his speeches have been delivered by video link – never live. It was reported earlier that sophisticated air defense missile batteries capable of attacking Israeli warplanes and helicopters were poised in depots on the Syrian-Lebanese border for delivery to Hizballah.

Nasrallah did not confirm or deny that delivery had taken place. Our sources add that Israel recently warned Syria that the delivery of ground-to-air missiles to Hizballah would represent the crossing of a red line.

Israeli defense minister Ehud Barak said earlier this month that such weapons "would change the strategic balance and force Israel to act."

Let's have a poll: How many of you want to live under Sharia Law?
Which is certain to happen if Europe and the West in general doesn't get some backbone and stands up to Islamists. If Europeans don't want to fight at least they should let Israel finish what she started once and for all instead of always applying pressure to stop military actions just to allow terrorists to rebuild and to gain strength again. Now US is planning to provide aid to Palestinians/Hamas to "rebuild". Rebuild what??? their arms? They are not going to put this money to work for the people, build infrastructure, create opportunities for people. This money is going directly to Hamas, what is the point of this???It's such a waste IMO.

I think you miss the basic point of the strategy -- clearly outlined by the Israelis, if you get under newspaper and TV coverage -- and almost certainly shared by the US and key EU powers , if only secretly .
This was to cut out the immediate crap -- Hamas missiles --- but to dislocate the technical Government so badly that other Palestinian groups would take over the negotiating role . More moderate groups .
Israel probably underestimated the main Hamas response which was either to flee to the West Bank or just get out . Or , to join the army in the underground city that was presided over by top Iran military personnel .
But , nevertheless , for the moment , Hamas are badly weakened and fragmented .
Which is why they are being by- passed by world aid and as much discussion as possible is going on with Abbas and Al Fatah .
And , I must say , to understand the true nature of what is going on you also must have a full appreciation of the game being played out between ( primarily) the US and Iran .
Nothing much happens in Palestine without the total support of Iran and the same is true in Lebanon but here Syria is still a dangerous extra factor .
Put simply . Cut Iran out of the scenario and Hezbollah and Hamas become toothless .
It is not quite as simplistic as that , but gives a perspective on how and where to read subtexts from elsewhere which are the real determinants of Israel - Palestine success or failure .
