I would like to live on the seashore, somewhere warm with average temp. of +24 C,
where the only clothes I'd wear would be a bikini suit and a pareo.

I would own and run a nice family hotel - I think I might call it Norman Bates BB - offering all sorts of conventional and not-too-conventional services, including a Loyal Customer Program. :becky:

I have been disqualified from the human race, So I am looking toward other planetary systems at present.

Anybody got a large, second hand, life sustaining space frigate they want to sell off cheap? I won't need any heavy duty weaponry, a couple of mk3 plasma proton cannons should do it. I will however definitely need an artificial solar generator to ensure the flipping potato crop doesn't crash out on me.......... oh and also a liferaft with a recently passed test certificate.

I'll be sending out invitations to everybody for a huge party and piss-up once everything is organised.

I am happy where I am for now. But in the future, I would again like to have a forest home in the mountains, or maybe by the sea.

I would like to live in Scotland, Ireland or some place in Russia like these. Green fields, quiet places, good people and good beer :JC_burp:

Everytime I hate more warm weather and like more cold and dry buy I cant live without sea :becky:

I would like to live on a small, self-sufficient farm in Provence. I want to raise my own fruits and vegetables, chickens, goats, and alpacas. I would like to learn to make wine and cheese!

If i could not live here (Norway), i would like to live in a county very different from my own - at least for shorter time as f.x a year.

Thats bull !!! Be honest you would love Antarctica wouldn't you?!? A giant ice-cream just for you :becky:

As for me, my country suits me fine. The weather is generally good, not too cold and nice and warm in the summer. A good choice of sceneries, from mountains to a great seaside. And the food is simply superb :P.
If I could have a second house however... maybe in a greek island, Sardinia or Corsica...or Ireland or Scotland...but not for long...their weather is depressing :P.
I find Japan interesting but...it shakes too much and too often...South America is a nice alternative though.
Eastern Europe could be an interesting option also...

I just came home from france where a part of my family lives. I am each time fascinated and overwhelmed by the infrastructure of the villages and roades. It is completelx different than in germany where the centers of the towns have rarely little individual shops where you get everything like meat, bread, fruits, flowers, a magazine and have a coffee. In germany the big shopping centers where you need to go by car often have killed the small shops.
Also the roads are far more clever in france. Big routes do not cross small villages, and so its just lovely to drive the countryside. If I would have the choice I would go to bretagne or normandie.

For the winter time I'd liked to live in Australia (Tasmania island will be OK). And for the late spring - middle of autumn I'd liked to live in Swiss (Lugano or nearby).

As i haven't visited enough and enough long countries it's difficult to say, so i'll choose those where my heart lead me.

Honey
Are you aware that Provence is a region of a certain country ?
Are you also aware that this same region is now overloaded with English Tossers trying to live the dream as reported in a best seller some 15(?)years ago ?
When you are able to escape the English Tossers talking about Honey , Vegetables and Organics you will probably run into some of the other lot gabbling away with their Patisseries and Croissants .
Bet you want to change your mind now .

My favourite city is Lima, great weather and good way of like there with the people being friendly and helpful.

I think it's possible I could live there but it's sometimes difficult to tear yourself away from your roots.

Generally speaking, I'd like to live by the ocean, somewhere with reasonably constant good weather.

It's actually quite a difficult question.
There are so many different places I would like to live at least for a while... And when I get old I would love to live in a house with the view at the ocean:rolleyes:

You know, Jim... I have enjoyed being in Lima too. I used to have an apartment in Miraflores, halfway between Parque Central and the beach. But that's Miraflores, arguably the best part of Lima. There are a few more nice areas, but SO MUCH of Lima is really a disgusting pit of a city. The air is the worst I've experienced, there is trash along so many of the streets (not so much in Miraflores, of course), and you can't even brush your teeth with the water.

Like so many Latin American cities - or, to be fair, so many cities everywhere - there are good parts with nice attractions and culture, and there are the real dumpy parts. And although I did enjoy my times in Lima, I have to say that I preferred some of the other cities in Peru, like Cusco, Piura, Trujillo and Cajamarca. And I REALLY liked Santiago, Chile, and Buenes Aires, Argentina (but I only had short visits).

By the way... did you ever visit Pizza Street in Miraflores?

Yes of course there are bad areas in Lima.
But as you say, this can apply anywhere.

I certainly visited Pizza street and ate there quite a few times.
