I just came in from doing my least favorite chore around the house.:puke:
I have to admit that I am guilty of putting it off much longer than I should just because I dislike doing it so much.

My question is what is your least favorite chore to do and to you put it off until i will wait no longer?

The job I hate so much is cleaning the dogs kennel.
I have two Rots and between them they eat at least 50 pounds of food a week.
As the saying goes "what goes in must come out"
That makes for a lot to clean.

The worst part is it seems like just as soon as I finish they show me how fast they can make it their home again.

I won't even start on the horses:violin:

Washing dishes. Really hate that. There are lots of other applications to gentle woman's hands I can think of. ;)
I should probably ask Santa for a dish-washer. I've been a good girl this year, so I hope he gets it for me, unless he screws everything up like he did the last time when he was around :becky:

I'll wash your dishes if you do my ironing

The worst for me is cleaning the garage. All the stuff I don't have a use for but can't seem to trash or give away goes out there. I haven't had a turntable in ages, but I have a big box of LPs that I just can't let go of. Some of them are thirty years old.

I have a new turn table that I haven't bothered finding a needle for it.
You know you have two much when you need a second garage and a pole barn to store everything.

This is one chore I like, but my hands are still rough.
Maybe if you don't like washing dishes then dishwasher is not so good.
At least in my case I wash dishes before I load them in dishwasher.:nerd:

Ironing whats that?
normally it's wash, tumble dry, wear but considering there is no tumble dryer here and the job requires a business look I am forced to iron...it's funny that everything here that is a little unusual, like irons or coffee machines, are very expensive....the cheapest iron I could find was over $50 and the cheapest coffee machine was close to $75

I don't mind ironing. I just never do any at all :becky:
Life's too short :becky:

As soon as I take the stuff out of the washing machine I just hang everything to dry oh hangers. The only exception is certain blouzes and Cheeky Little Monkey's dresses, but that's not a lot.

Ok. But let me know in advance the amount of clothes you want me to iron, so that I'd know when to stop washing dishes and start saving them for you :becky:

Good thing I've been piling dirty dishes for last three weeks - which just proves that I have great foresight and intuition. So, come over, you won't be bored I can guarantee that :becky:

I'll wash your dishes if you do my ironing I like both washing dishes and ironing, but dislike laundry (by hands :becky:) and also don't like to be a host for party and to cook a lot :-P Not good hostess :yo:

You'll be doing dishes and ironing and I will entrust the laundy to the washing machine and take full responsibilities for hosting and cooking for the parties! I also like to wash windows especially in the first warm days of spring - that's my way of celebrating the end of winter.

Taking in account that our men are bodies having eternal siesta, why do we need them? We can just share home work without addition burden laying in hammacks :-P

I don't really dislike any chores in my home but the one thing I don't like is gardening, cutting the grass, trimming hedges etc.
And I have two gardens !!
Actually I hate it with a passion, but it does look nice when it's all done.
But the damn grass is up again very soon after cutting it..........

We're in the same boat, Jim, except my grass has not grown much over the last month because we haven't had much rain, until yesterday.

We have had so much over the last month or so that I could send you enough to water a small town for a year......

My idea of lawn care is a lawnmower and a squirt bottle of round-up. Marina has different plans, but fortunately she takes care of her garden and I try to not spray the unknown plants in the yard.

Wow! Reading these "least favorite chores" I realize I can relate to almost all of them. For now, I live in a pretty low-maintenance place, and I have a cleaning lady who comes once a week. So I do limited laundry (only in emergencies), and she does all the ironing.

But my one daily chore that I don't like is making my bed each night and putting away my linens and blankets in the morning. To save space, I use a sort of a sleeper-sofa (but a very comfortable design), and I have to make the bed each night and put everything away each morning. It gets old.

When I lived in the hills west of Denver, I really hated it when I had to clear snow (which was often). I had a very long driveway, which went up a hill, and I had to rely on a neighbor with a super-duty Dodge Ram and a monster snow plow to clear it for me. But I still had to do a fair amount of shoveling around the porch and to the sheds.

But I think my least favorite houshold chore is cleaning the bath tub and shower. I hate doing all that scrubbing.

I have a very large bath and shower combination and can't reach all of it without climbing in. Since I have to wait five minutes for my hair conditioner to work, I use the time to scrub the tub and shower. Not only do I save time, I avoid getting any of the cleaning solution on my clothes.
