Totally unnecessary. Leading psychologists tell us that language is only 50% of communication anyway. While philosophers, such as the Zen Buddhists, had no time for the falseness and duplicity of language at all.

And really, who ever visited Russia for conversation?

As you may know, the Zen monks believed that they learned most about life by sitting on a hillside contemplating a flower. Which, if you think about it, is not unlike sitting in a hotel in Moscow, staring at a Russian Woman in a short skirt on the far side of the bar. The truth will eventually be revealed to you.

The main thing to remember is that Russian Women on the Internet are in fact a mega computer game: using one’s skill and judgement, one is invited to click on ‘profiles’. But as in most virtual games, the women and the rewards are mostly only virtual reality.

So, selecting ‘language barrier’ mode is really the same as setting a higher skill or difficulty level, as you would with any other computer game.

Should you meet your first dyed-haired space invader in Moscow, jibbering in cyrillic, you will realise that it is good practice to write to and to meet just one Russian girl. In non-language mode, it helps to keep as few aliens on screen as possible.
