Today is Saint Andrew Day for greek ortodox church. and i want to say Happy name's day to all the people who have Andrew, Andrei, Andrea name.

in Romania that saint day was put over a pagan celebration, the wolf's day.
only today and that night the wolf can move his neck and there are a series of rituals made to protect the house and the calves from wolves.

last night the bad spirits left their thombs and came into the world, so here we had a spirit's night. that's why on the countryside people put garlic on windows or doors, to protect their lives.

the bad spirits are very dangerous this day and they are different kinds: some of them bring devastating rains, fires, hails, they are spirits of waters, of earth, of beehives, and they travel on the earth, or flying on brooms, on or inside the barrels.

the village people think that the spirit, called STRIGOI, is coming on people's windows and ask them "did you eat garlic?" if the people answer them, they take their voice away. only the people who don't speak can be saved.

today is the day of charms and witch crafts and is fascinating how many traditions are made for this day.

i must say that STRIGOII are the spirits of dead people who could not cross over this world, or who were taken back from the other world, by their loved ones grief.

well if seriously... we celebrate this day on 13th of December...
and in the night from 12 to 13 girls use to fortunes to find out who is theirs future husband or who will marry first and so on...
i remember when i was young my friends and i get one of our shoes and put them into the line from one door to the other - whose is first those wil get married first...

or we wrote lots of different names on pieces of papers (it depends when is yr birthday... if its 19 then u had to think 19 names on different papers) and put them under our pillow... so next morning when u wake up u get one and see what name was there

yes i know its crap... but was lots of fun

Simple design for a simple people .

Isn't it part of the Union Jack? So does that make you only party simple?

What sort of logic is that ?

Your population is partly Black .
You are part of the population .
Therefore you are partly Black .
Eh Em.

Scottish flag is part of "Union Jack".
English flag is part of "Union Jack".

So you are part of England and Scotland.

Sapristi ,
Your propositions are facts .
But your attempted conclusion is false .
England and Scotland are parts of Great Britain .
Not of each other , but part of something which is more than the sum of its parts .

Historically we incorporated the very simple Scotty Flag because they could not read and this was our way of letting them know we had adopted them for educating and civilising .And it was about the same time we let them travel to watch our football matches .

I was merely pointing out if in truth according to you the St Andrews Cross was a design for a simple people then it was part of the design for you

I don't think black is part of the US Flag

But then I WAS extrapolating from your logic
so that might have been in error

How dare you extrapolate .
Have you no shame ?

That's not the Scottish flag I prefer but since it was St Andrews day and that is the St Andrews cross that was the reason I posted it.

If I wanted to put a simple design for simple people I'd have used this one.
